 The Commercialbank of Qatar inaugurated its technologically advanced headquarters in Doha Qatar in May 2009. The building offers a number of first’s in Qatar such as Triple Glazed active facade of transparent glass, also another first is the three levels of underground parking.
The choice for the fire rated smoke extract ductwork had to be very seriously considered by the Consultant as this was the first major project in Qatar to use this system. The Flamebar BW11 fire rated smoke extract system was chosen as it not only complied with all international standards such as BS and UL but also had approval from the Qatar Civil Defence.
Another first was the offsite application. The ductwork was fabricated to Firespray International Standards and was shipped to the local spray factory of the Firespray licensee for the Flamebar BW11 treatment before being returned to the project site for erection
